Bad eating Habits and Diabetes
Doctors and researchers point to bad eating habits, increased weight and lack of exercise as leading causes of the development of diabetes change. It is true that a family history of diabetes is a contributing factor. However, many people fail to see how many of the risk factors are within their control. Obesity is the leading factor for developing diabetes. The more overweight a person is, the higher their risk is for developing type 2. Being 20% over the ideal body weight equates to a doubled risk of developing diabetes. And for every 20% weight increase, that risk continues to double.
