My Bother’s Bout With Pancreatic Cancer
I still remember that day in the waiting room of the hospital when my brother’s doctor came out and told me and my family that my brother had pancreatic cancer. Unfortunately, the doctor told us that it was Inoperable Pancreatic Cancer and it would have to be treated rather than surgically removed. I began to educate myself on this disease and found out that most patients who suffer from pancreatic cancer never exhibit any symptoms until the cancer is well on its way. My family and I take comfort in the fact that there are ongoing clinical research trials to help patients who suffer from the disease and to prevent the disease from happening in the future.
